Summer 2025 Studio Guidelines
Welcome to Classical Ballet Academy. In an effort for our school to run smoothly and safely, please read and adhere to our updated studio guidelines.
Mission & Inclusion Statement
Our mission is to educate, inspire, and transform dancers of all ages through the study of classical ballet and complementary dance forms. Reshaping the mind and body takes discipline and strength. CBA is dedicated to helping each individual achieve this goal.
Classical Ballet Academy promotes principles of fairness, equity, diversity, and inclusion in relation to and across intersections of race, age, color, disability, faith, religion, ancestry, national origin, citizenship, sexual orientation, social class, economic class, ethnicity, gender, gender expression, and all other identities represented among our diverse dancers and community.
Conduct
Dancers are expected to be courteous and show decorum towards all members of the CBA community. In addition, in-class distractions such as cell phones, gum chewing, talking, poor hygiene, inappropriate attire, and leaving class prior to being dismissed, etc. will not be permitted.
We recognize that dancers may sometimes have behavioral or emotional challenges that extend beyond the studio and yet still impact their ability to participate fully in dance classes. As a studio, we are committed to equipping our teachers through training and support in trauma-informed, strengths-based teaching practices. If a dancer is experiencing ongoing struggles, we will provide consultation and support to the teacher in an attempt to find strategies to help each dancer to thrive. Beyond that, families may be included in a support conversation, and asked to collaboratively contribute to help both their individual dancer thrive and to be attentive to the classroom culture as whole.
Tuition/Registration Policies
New students pay a one-time, non-refundable $25 new student registration fee. Tuition for summer is due upon enrollment. Cancellations before May 31, 2025 receive 100% refund. Cancellations from June 1 through two weeks before start date receive 50% refund. No refunds within two weeks of start date.
Attendance
Dancers are expected to be on time and ready to dance for their scheduled classes. Students arriving more than ten minutes late for class may not be able to participate. Beginning-of-class warm-up exercises are important to avoid injuries. Consistent attendance is imperative for proper training and growth. Students with minor injuries should attend classes and observe. Students with major injuries are expected to stay home at this time. A doctor’s note will be required to commence dance training after a major injury.
Make-up Classes
We are not able to guarantee makeup classes due to the nature of our specific class enrollment and small class sizes. Please contact office@classicalballet.net to discuss the possibility of scheduling a makeup class.

Parking and Safety
All dancers should wear street clothing over their dance clothing. For parents/guardians of dancers in level 4 and under please plan to park your car and walk your dancer in and out of the studio. They will need to be excused from class to a guardian. Please give yourself plenty of time to find a street parking spot that does not block neighbor driveways. If crossing Foster Road please use crosswalks. The parking lot (east side of the building, adjacent to the large billboard) does not belong to CBA. Please do not park there. Parking spaces for people with disabilities are marked at the front of the alleyway for those with Disabled Person Parking Permits only. Please be sure to never block these spaces, or use them without a permit.
